Nixa Doors Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage

This Limited Warranty applies to aluminum, steel, and glass products manufactured and sold by Nixa Doors.

  • 20-Year Limited Warranty on aluminum and steel profiles, frames, and panels

  • 5-Year Limited Warranty on glass units

  • 2-Year One-Time Replacement Warranty on hardware and mechanical components

Any modification to Nixa Doors products—including repainting, changing glass type, replacing hardware, or adding components without written approval from Nixa Doors—will void the warranty.

Warranty Limitations

  • This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

  • No distributor, contractor, or representative is authorized to alter or extend this warranty.

  • Installation is the responsibility of the contractor, end user, or authorized installer.

  • The warranty is void if the product is altered, damaged, or modified in any way that differs from the original factory specifications or invoice description.

  • This warranty excludes performance issues caused by improper installation, including missing sill pans, incorrect flashing, structural sagging, or uneven framing.

  • Nixa Doors is not responsible for water or air leakage in inswing systems or systems installed without an approved high-track threshold or sill pan.

  • Protective film left on glass or metal surfaces for more than two (2) months will void surface-related warranty claims.

Customer Responsibilities

Reporting Defects

  • All visible defects or damages must be reported within five (5) business days of delivery.

  • After this period, Nixa Doors provides a one-time replacement of defective hardware at no cost (shipping charges apply).

Hardware Replacement Procedure

  • Defective hardware must be returned to Nixa Doors within 14 days of receiving the replacement part.

  • Customers may be required to provide a payment card number when initiating a warranty replacement.

  • Failure to return defective parts may result in a charge for the replacement hardware.

Inspection Prior to Installation

  • Customers are responsible for verifying that products match their order specifications before installation.

  • If discrepancies are found, do not install the product. Contact Nixa Doors immediately for correction.

Limitations and Exclusions

The warranty does not cover the following:

  1. Improper Installation

    • Installation without proper sill pans, flashing, or level framing.

    • Structural movement, header sagging, or failure due to incorrect opening size.

  2. Environmental Damage

    • Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, corrosion, or natural disasters.

    • Surface corrosion or discoloration caused by exposure to chemicals, salt air, or harsh cleaning agents.

  3. Unauthorized Repairs

    • Any repair or alteration by persons not authorized by Nixa Doors.

  4. Normal Wear and Tear

    • Finish fading, tarnishing of hardware, or minor cosmetic deterioration over time.

  5. Glass and Screen Limitations

    • Scratches or defects not reported at delivery.

    • Protective film left on glass or frame beyond two (2) weeks.

    • Damage resulting from impact, environmental exposure, or misuse.

Maintenance Requirements (Seacoast or Saltwater Environments)

  • Clean all surfaces monthly with mild soap and water.

  • Prevent buildup of sand, salt, and debris in tracks and joints.

  • Immediately repair or touch up any paint damage to prevent corrosion.

Hardware Warranty in Saltwater Areas

  • Hardware and finishes are not warranted in seacoast or saltwater environments.

  • Custom paint finishes in these regions carry a one-year warranty from the date of delivery.

Claims Process in Saltwater Environments

  • All claims must be submitted within 30 days of the appearance of a defect.

Warranty Claims Process

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact your dealer or Nixa Doors representative where the product was purchased.

  2. Submit all claims in writing before any repair or replacement work begins.

  3. Include the following details:

    • Nixa Doors invoice number

    • Purchase date and installation address

    • Detailed description of the issue

    • Photos of the affected area

Nixa Doors reserves up to 30 days to inspect and evaluate any product under claim.

Reporting Shipping Discrepancies

  • Inspect all products upon delivery.

  • Report any discrepancies or damage immediately at the time of delivery.

Shipping Claims Procedures

  • If your product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact Nixa Doors within five (5) days of receipt.

  • Verified claims will be replaced and a shipping claim filed with the carrier (if Nixa Doors arranged the shipment).

  • Claims submitted after five (5) days will not be eligible for shipping coverage.
